February, Thursday 12th:

…wow, snow outside!! 5 in the morning and the day starts like that not really fancy now leaving the house…
rent a car and drove to the airport in frankfurt. checked in and had some kinda breakfast macdonalds scrumbled eggs stuff…baaaaaaaah!!
anyway…as usual flight was late and i was really concerned about the connection flight in amsterdam but arrived in holland in time.
had to run from terminal D to E and caught the plane in the last second.
11 hours of screaming kids, no entertainment system and awful meals during this KLM flight but finally arrived in los angeles. i do not have to mention how TIRED i was after this trip.
my friend Z picked me up and brought me to the city center of hollywood where my hotel was. i was able to sleep 3 hours b4 Z gave me a buzz for a thursday night show. i was pretty much right next to where the all the hollywood awards are being celebrated. they actually started building the whole scene for the upcoming global oscar whatever awards and the club was just a stonethrow away down the hollywood blvd.
outside a massive line was waiting to come in and inside – it was HELL. what a big mass of people and this became a WOHOOOOOO night!
after the set they closed down the show and after some foto-shootings an a tv-interview with the promoter mark we headed off for some sleeeeeeeeep…

Friday 13th:

after a shower i hooked up with Z for some breakfast – and as susual we saw celebs in that little cafe. i just love LA, it’s sooooo coool.
airport and off to san francisco.
honestly u always hear me complaining about airlines – apart from etihad and emirates – but NOT this time!!!
VIRGIN AMEICA had this brand new A320 which was completely piano-white inside with black leather and the ceiling was covered in blue light!! oh yeah….but that’s not all: it was the first flight EVER 4 me with WI-FI internet. ridiculous!!! i loved it and spent the whole flight chatting with the world. THUMBS UP virgin america!!!!!!!!

landed in SF and the promoter chris was waiting outside picking me up. hotel, little nap, club…
MAAAAAN, what a city!! this is hippy-rainbow-town and so far my personal number 1 in the states (I don’t think any other city can beat this!!!).
really worth seeing this cute little town with it’s bridges, cable cars and old little buildings. the people there are awesome and the crowd in the club was just MASSIVE!! aged between 30 and 40 this was one of the musically best educated crowds i ever played for and it fucking rocked!!!
after some breakfast in the gay-district and seeing heaps of extraordinary dressed peopz i had to leave early for my flight to portland.

Saturday 14th, HAPPY VALENTINE

yeppaaaaa, back in portland again played here a couple of months ago and it was just DOPE!
jeff was waiting for a ride to the city. they booked an aweseome hotel called “the nines” but unfortunately the hotel messed up the reservation and scheduled a completely wrong date. but this location was soooo great we just stayed there and had diner…well…they placed us at a valentines tabel with candles and brought us champagne. we had to tell them we were NOT having a date there….hahaha…
we laft and found another hotel…dropped baggage and went off to the party. wolfgang gardner was playing there too b4 me and the night became a damn good party. i was supposed to play at 2:30…so i wanted to check my gear. since i play LIVE i have heaps of stuff with me and after opening my bags i realized i lost my soundcard…aaaaaaaaargh…but the promoters brought me a new one and the party was safe

Sunday 15th:

off to vancouver tomorrow so gonna spend the day relaxing in my rooooooooom

Wednesday 18th:

was mainly sleeping during the last days. seems the week b4 was pretty exhausting.
i stay in lazy rich’s house in the center of vancouver. just infected him with the idea to buy new monitor speakers so we went to a store and bought a pair of ADAM P22a (gooooooood descision!!!!) and i additionally got a new soundcard at last

life could be so easy running a publication company….but there are always artists that make trouble….
u remember the big beatport chart success from december last year (i don’t wanna say any names)?? I did a rmx for a uk artist who bagged me weeks and weeks to do a rmx for him. so i did it and released it.
now that he saw how less he earned with his original song that stupid idea came up in his brain and he now wants to force me BY LAW paying him (and this i the most ridiculous calculation i’ve ever seen):

50% of all income + 50% of all the remixers income + 15% uk tax

hahaha, that is approx 90% of the WHOLE money that has been made with the WHOLE release. and what do the other rmxers say?? apparently this guy thinks noone deserves anything apart from him….
and how stupid is he saying things like “i run a 300.000€ company and i have the resources to bring u down”.
actually it’s pretty funny – he got a contract with me saying he got payed for his track 50% of the net income. that’s it…really annoying such unprofessional wankers….

have to do heaps of mastering today – thanks to lazy rich’s new monitor speakers it shouldn’t be that hard…

Thursday 19th:

my canadian manager rob picked us (lazy and me) up and drove us a to a ski-resort called whistler some 1-2 hours up north of vancouver. actually it looked like a little village and i wasn’t sure if this could be a cool place to have a party.
but the club was MASIVE! yet packed when we arrived the dj-booth was made of plexi-glass and during my set people tried climbing into it. what a greaaaaat party there at tommy africa’s nightclub. even a girl came up lifting her shirt for showing her titties…hehehe…and the eastern german snowboard team was there in their ridiculous 80′s styled adidas fake clothes….

Friday 20th:

left after some breakfast back to vancouver. the mountains and the view and simply everything there was breath-taking. couldn’t get my digicam out of my hands during the whole ride back. once in town rob and me checked in at the opus hotel. never seen a hotel where the whole parking lot was full of ferraris, porsches, maseratis, bugatis, whatever…kewl place
the party was dope; lazy rich opened the night with stunning electro sounds – mainly his own productions – and it became a biiiig event!!!

Saturday 21st:

after waking up we had breakfast in a spot called THE ELBOW ROOM. whenever u are in vancouver u deffo should visit this place, u will love it!!
1,5 hrs ferry ride to vancouver island where we went to the nightclub in courteney. as usual: the courteney audience ROCKED the hell out of this location!! one of my fav party places in BC!! thank u guys for all the love and overwhelming party

Sunday 22nd:

exhausting weekends like this take no end a couple of hours of sleep later we headed off to the comox airport for catching flights to calgary where i supposed to play a sunday show. arriving at the airport the checkin-desk lady told us we missed the flights. nooooooooo, the plane was still there, stairways on and doors open. but she was sooooo unfriendly she wouldn’t let us in. rob started arguing with her and she even wanted to cancel ALL our flights suddenly. what a b….unfriendly person!!!
the nice lady from another airline heard us and wanted to help. we couldn’t fly directly so we had to buy 2 tix to vancouver to catch connex flights to calgary there. well…normally we’d arrive just the same time the connection flight departs but thanks to central mountain air they started our charter flight 10min ahead of time. we received business-class seats in the front row and once we arrived we jumped out of the plane and ran to through the whole terminal. well….when 1 thing goes wrong it ALL goes wrong: due to “missing” our flights in comox we were on standby. 2 seats left, 14 standby passengers ahead on the list. SHIT. so we ended up paying further 450bugs for the last 2 tickets. but finally we made it in time to calgary. being picked up by the driver he drove us directly to the venue where an impatient crowd was waiting (meanwhile it was monday morning 1am). seems the whole canadian westcoast crowd is sick – they made it the best sunday show u could imagine!!!!!!! thanxx to all for coming and waiting

Monday 23rd:

once more we had a massive hotel but as usual got up way too late to get some breakfast. so we called the promoters to pick us up. they brought us to a yummies breakfast place and after returning to where the car was parked this huuuuuuuge empty space was smiling at us…..fuck….where’s the car??? it was TOWED!! it took 2 hours to get our stuff off the car and we just catched the plane back to vancouver island in time (the gate was already calling us)….we received businessclass sats in the first row. not too bad during the flight a lady had to wait next to rob’s seat (thank god i had a window place) cause the flight attendants were setting up the drink/food wagon. the lady apparently wanted to go to the toilet and as she had to wait next to rob’s seat she farted….not a usual fart…this was the WORST fart ever in history of this universe. and with every breath it became worse. what did this lady eat before?? oh my god, u have no idea. even the flight attendants now started searching for their own deosprays and perfumes for spraying it in the cabin….but it didn’t help….
just in case the lady who farted reads this: NEVER EVER DO THIS AGAIN PLEASE!! AN AIRPLANE IS COMPLETELY LOCKED AND THE AIR DOESN’T CIRCULATE INSIDE!!!!!!!! AND THE FLIGHT DURATION WAS MORE THAN 1 HOUR!!!!!!!!

Tuesday-Thursday:

……relaaaaaaaaaaaxing. had to work a little bit but spent most of the time doing NOTHING and SLEEPING…and had a poker tournament…i became second…rob wo the whole pot

Friday 27th:

As the schedule said i had a show in victoria on saturday we just booked flight/return from/to victoria and drove the 3hrs down south to that beautiful old city. had some sightseeing and a short lunch with one of the promoters from victoria in a chinese noodle place. rob attended and the flight to edmonton was very quick… coming out of the airport the first deep breath instantly froze my nose…damn… MINUS 20 degrees…hilarious…and it was late evening. how cold could it get at night??????????
the club LEVEL2 freaked completely out…yehaaaaaaa….and they had a touchscreen video mixing console…kewl gear

Saturday 28th:

…the chinese food was a bad idea. kept me awake the whole night burning holes in my stomach
got up at 1pm and tried having a walk through the city for finding a brekfast spot. well we TRIED but it was sooooooooooo cold. we ended up getting a cab back to the airport without any food.

arriving in victoria we drove to the hotel that was planned to be reserved for us. but seemed like the promoters were sooooo stoked to organize the party they 4got to check the hotel availability. so we had to switch to another place to stay and we were able to get the last available room in a nice place a few blocks away from the club at least.
diner with the promoters…and off to the club for setting up the live-gear. it was actually 1 hour b4 official club opening and approx 100 peops were waiting outside yet. actually this was the first night ever for me that was completely sold out weeks before the date.
maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, this party went off the scale…wohooooooooooooooo…NUTS!!!!!!!!! how sick was this night????? the energy in this location was beyond imagination and my shirt, jeans….just everything was comletely WET…..insane!!!!!!

currently sitting on the ferry back to vancouver whilst writing this blog. thanxx to all my friends and specially adil and his wife for letting my stay in their house during the last week (didn’t wanna go to a hotel). spent the whole last week with their 2 little kids and they were very sad when i had to go. after hours of hugging and hilarious WII gaming rob brought me to the ferry.
of course – thanxx to my buddy rob too wouldn’t have had any fun without him during this exhausting 2 week canada tour. he organized everything very well and always took care of me!!!!! huuuuuuuuuuuugs!

gonna leave canada towards austin texas tomorrow morning. flight time is approx 12 hours. 2 stops and at least 6 hours of waiting time at airports ahead…..

Friday 6th of March:

…that was a long exhausting flight…fair enough…it got 30 degrees in austin texas and the city skyline is beautiful. finally i found some summer here in the states during this tour after the NEGATIVE 29 in edmonton canada…brrrrrrrrrrrr… the promoter attends a audio engineering class in austin. so he brought me there for giving a lesson and the students asked me alot of questions. really fun teaching interested people some of the stuff i learned during the years…
the show was coooool, big event hall, lasers…good soundsystem. it rocked!!! even people from mexico were there taking an 8 hour trip to be part of this event. thanxxxx guys
right b4 the party on my way to grab some coffe from a famous fastfood chain a BIRD shat on my head…hahaha…yaya…stop laughing!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday 7th:

…as usual with a massive lack of sleep i tortured myself to the airport. we all know about the prejeduce of “women” and “driving cars”….i try not to say anything….but never FLY with a “girl” in the cockpit!!!! the first female captain ever on one of my flights and it was HORRIBLE!!!! it felt like she was a student driver and thas was her first flight in a real plane…

San Francisco….6 hours later my personal driver with limousine was waiting with a sign with my name on it at the airport. he brought me to the hotel where i dropped my stuff off and headed to the club which had also a restaurant – diner. WOOOOOOOW, what a location!! the club was called TEMPLE and the whole interior was spiced with huge old buddha statues and heaps of kewl ancient malaysian relicts including 3 big floors and a snow white interior with white leather and a biiiig soundsystem. WOW!!!!
the party was unreal and once more SF proved to be my fav city and one of the HOTSPOTS of electronic music in the USA. beeing here the second time within 1 month without seing the famous BRIDGE nor the ALCATRAZ prison just makes me wanna come back asap again

….again no sleep…9 in the morning…driver waiting outside…at least he brought me some coffee and breakfast for the ride back to the airport.
facing a 2 hours trip to los angeles followed by a meeting with lazy rich and 6 hours waiting time for my connection back to germany which includes another 15 hours flight time. i’m veeery tired….and i’ll probably sleep the whole time in the plane….
